Lots of Rowing & One Sunny Push

With rain about most of this week I spent a fair bit of time on the rowing machine.

Terry's Skite Wall
I have had a rowing machine since I started rowing at Lake Hood in the 2000's. That machine was purchased second hand and was a Concept2 model C with an old version monitor. I am not sure how many km's I rowed on that machine, but it certainly got a good thrashing. I keep rowing on the machine after my accident when my Occupational Therapist organised me an adaptive rowing seat. Eventually I decided to trade up to a new model E selling my old machine to Rose from the rowing club. The model E has the latest PM5 monitor which connects to your phone and records all your workouts. Since I have had this new machine in 2021 I have rowed more than 13.7 million metres. Your mileage gets recorded online with Concept2 where there is quite a large community of indoor rowers. This community takes part in online competitions and challenges for which you can print off certificates. With 95 Walker St partly renovated I have claimed the old main entrance way as my rowing gym and I have created what Yvonne calls my "Skite Wall". This skite wall has some of those certificates I have earned for various achievements including each time I reach another million metres.

I also managed to squeeze in another push today. Things were quite busy as we had help from Ferg and Greg to move some of our bulky objects into the container. The couch, sideboard, chest of draws and plenty of other stuff got moved and we get a little closer to being ready for the builders. Next was a shop before we head up to the bach for a few days. Yvonne also baked today, another Sourdough Loaf was produced this morning. On my push I did a more modest 20.3km in 81 minutes with an average speed of 14.9km/hr, relatively still conditions help me achieve my fastest time for this distance.
