Couple of Pushes and Mike O'Neill Visits

The last week has not seen me head out in my racing chair as frequently as I should. During the week I headed up to Wynn Munro's funeral (good family friend) on Monday. We also had my brother Mike visit from Queensland which included a cousins catch up in Christchurch and a visit to Lake Clearwater to view the progress with work on the deck starting.

I did complete a 13.2 km push to Hepburns Rd and the Mitcham Rd intersection on Wednesday. This push went well with my technique improving. I also completed 10.4 km on Sunday in warm and windy conditions which had me struggling. I believe I also drank too much just before this training session putting me in an uncomfortable position. During this session I also trialed the use water bladder in a back pack which did not work so well. I think I need to mount a water bottle with a suction straw on my chair as an alternative source of hydration.
