At the Lakes but Still Working

The finishing of the bach has now started with the sale of the old family home at 100 Walker St. This finishing was kicked off with contracting a local excavator operator to sort out the road frontage. For too long the road frontage has been pretty shabby with the sleeper retainer wall collapsing with soil and rocks spilling onto the road.

Old Bach and road frontage

Yvonne and the Treeman had a plan to improve things with a ramp which anybody could use if they couldn't manage the stairs and a rock retaining wall. Alistair Parris of Mt Somers Excavation was given this vision with a plan and some discussion and I think he aced it. The last big piece of work will be the deck that will run towards the rock wall, this is scheduled to start in a couple of weeks.

With this piece of work successfully executed it was then time for some cross training for the NYC marathon adventure. I jumped into the hand crank bike and we headed around Lake Camp for some fresh air and the sights, always great looking west up Lake Camp at the Alps. Back in the pushrim tomorrow.
