Rowing to New York

The quantity of pushes in my racing wheelchair was not spectacular in December with the sum total of one 10 km workout on the 23 December. The reasons for not getting out are numerous and worthy. As you know the weather has been a bit dodgy. Yvonne my training companion was busy with work and all those other things we need to do in December. A lack of get up and go was though the prime cause. I have though been busy working out on the rowing machine along with the occasional row at Lake Hood, biking at Clearwater and a pool swim with Kate.

Through December I have managed to row on 17 days. I have a seat that clamps onto the rowing machine, this seat includes a strap to hold me up. The rowing machine is setup in the hallway and I have Hamish Bond and Eric Murray looking down on me and my Concept2 certificates. I am a world record holder in multiple distances for PR1 adaptive rowers in my age group in the online Concept2 rowing community. I have also rowed 13 million metres since I joined online rowing. This rowing is good cardio training but I still need to spend more time in the racing chair.
