Sun & Sounds at Gibbston plus Going Solo

Following last weeks 10k push Yvonne and I headed down to the summer concert at the Gibbston Valley. We left a Canterbury covered in cloud and temperatures in the mid to lower teens, ideal weather for training. As soon as we headed over Burkes Pass we found ourselves in the sun. The concert was good fun with heaps of people, warm sunny weather and some great bands.

Back home in Ashburton we were greeted by more cloud and a rather cool house. Come 20 January (happy birthday Kate O'Neill) the sun came out and I headed back on the road with the racing chair. This training session was different however as I headed out by myself. The day was warm and breezy with the push going well. I managed to stay out of trouble with the traffic, I guess my chopper flag must have done the business!!
